A Woman Chosen, Set Apart, and Sent
Yesterday, the 9th of June 2026, marked the birthday of a woman whose life has become an epistle read by many — Prophetess Irene Mudavanhu, Co-Founder of His Image Ministries International. On behalf of the entire HIMI family — Bishops, Pastors, Evangelists, Elders, Deacons and the wider congregation spanning cities, rural communities and nations — we rise with one voice to honour her, bless her, and declare with full hearts: Happy Birthday, Mama!
Long before titles and ordination certificates, before platforms and pulpits, there was a woman who simply said yes to God. A woman who prayed when no one was watching. A woman who encouraged the downcast, interceded for the weary, and carried the burden of the Church on her knees. Prophetess Irene Mudavanhu has been, from the very beginning, a co-builder of this house — and His Image Ministries International would not be what it is today without the grace that flows through her life!
Mother of Many Churches
The story of His Image Ministries International is inseparable from the story of Prophetess Irene Mudavanhu. Alongside Apostle Pilot Mudavanhu, she has stood faithfully in the work of planting, nurturing, and establishing churches — not only in the great cities but in the quiet rural communities and across the breadth of nations. Where many would see outposts, she sees people. Where others see distance, she sees an invitation to carry the presence of God further still.
She is a mother to the churches in the truest, most spiritual sense — one who prays them into existence, who weeps with them in difficulty, who speaks life over them in dry seasons, and who celebrates with them in every breakthrough. The fruit of her labour is not tallied in statistics alone; it is found in the transformed lives, the restored marriages, the delivered souls, and the raised leaders who bear her spiritual imprint!
A Voice in the Place of Prayer
Those who have been in the prayer room with Prophetess Irene Mudavanhu know that something happens in the atmosphere when she begins to pray. There is a weight of intercession in her, a depth of travail, a tenderness of heart before the Lord that only comes from years of intimate communion with God. She does not pray from a distance — she prays from within, from a place of knowing the heart of the Father.
Her prophetic gift has been a covering and a compass to many. She does not prophesy to impress — she prophesies to build, to comfort, and to steer. She calls out destiny in people who can barely see it themselves. She speaks words that linger long after the moment, words that come alive in seasons the hearer is still walking into. She has been used mightily of God — and there is more yet to come!
A Grandmother, a Mother, a Blessing
Beyond the altars and the prayer rooms, Prophetess Irene Mudavanhu is a mother in the most tangible and tender sense. She is the proud mother of three wonderful adult children and the joyful grandmother of six precious grandchildren — each one a testimony to the faithfulness of God and the legacy of a life well-lived. Her home is one of warmth, laughter, prayer, and the kind of grace that only a woman deeply rooted in God can carry.
She is also a spiritual mother to countless others — those who have found in her a safe place to be honest, to heal, to be seen, and to be sent. Her encouragement is not generic or rehearsed; it is specific, timely, and anointed. Many a servant of God has been steadied by a word she spoke at just the right moment. She carries the gift of building people up — and she gives it freely!
A New Season of Glory
This birthday marks not an ending but a glorious new chapter. The ordination of Prophetess Irene Mudavanhu at Easter 2026 — a historic and Spirit-led moment at Westlea Dream Centre — was not merely a conferral of title; it was Heaven's public acknowledgement of a calling that has been faithfully carried for decades. God was saying to the world: look at what I have been doing in this woman's life!
We believe that the best of her ministry is still unfolding. We believe for greater prayer movements, deeper prophetic utterance, wider reach across nations, and the full flowering of every gift that God placed within her. This is her moment — and we are honoured to witness it!
